"It's not enough to patch a problem - to treat a cold, give a vaccine or write a prescription. We believe in finding better ways to address the challenges that keep families awake at night - the challenges that would bring most of us to our knees."
- Dr. Ben Danielson, OBCC Senior Medical Director
Founded in 2017, the Friends of OBCC Guild has more than 100 members and counting, all community volunteers dedicated to supporting the Seattle Children’s Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic (OBCC).
“We want to see OBCC’s new vision for community health led by innovative prevention strategies that help vulnerable children and families live healthy, fulfilling lives. Our commitment is threefold: financial support, advocacy and community engagement.”
— Micki Flowers and Cynthia Huffman, Friends of OBCC Guild Co-Founders
OBCC is a community clinic of Seattle Children’s that provides medical, dental, mental health and nutrition services to all families, regardless of their ability to pay. OBCC has been delivering equitable health and wellness care to lower-income and ethnically diverse children for over 45 years. Currently, there is a campaign underway to build a new, innovative and expanded OBCC facility in South Seattle to broaden the Clinic's reach and impact.
